  • Gifts to Paramours: If one spouse was unfaithful during the course of the marriage and spent money on the individual with whom they were cheating, the judge may give the other spouse a higher percentage of the divided property to make up for it.

However, the spouse who is considered the primary parent of minor children usually keeps the marital home.
